About me

I am a qualified counsellor having successfully completed a Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.  I am also an accredited registrant with The National Counselling Society (NCS) which means I adhere to their code of professional and ethical practice.  Details of the NCS's ethical guidelines can be found on the NCS's website: https://www.nationalcounsellingsociety.org/about-us/code-of-ethics/

I have been working part-time in private practice for 2 years.  I also work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for the NHS and I am currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Therapies (Low Intensity CBT) as part of my NHS work.

Previously, I worked for 18 months as a volunteer counsellor in Exeter, where I saw clients presenting with a range of issues from depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, childhood trauma and loss and bereavement among many others.  For 2+ years, I worked as a volunteer grief support worker with a bereavement charity in Exeter, supporting children and young adults who had experienced the death of a significant person in their life.
