About me
I am a qualified counsellor having successfully completed a Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am also an accredited registrant with The National Counselling Society (NCS) which means I adhere to their code of professional and ethical practice. I have been working part-time in private practice for 2 years. I also work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for the NHS and I am currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Therapies (Low Intensity CBT) as part of my NHS work.
Previously, I worked for 18 months as a volunteer counsellor in Exeter, where I saw clients presenting with a range of issues from depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress, childhood trauma and loss and bereavement among many others. For 2+ years, I worked as a volunteer grief support worker with a bereavement charity in Exeter, supporting children and young adults who had experienced the death of a significant person in their life.

In my life outside of counselling, I am a mum of two, a determined but rather slow-moving runner, an avid reader of all things medieval and most likely candidate to move off the beaten path when out walking and getting lost!
